About Far Niente Farms . . .

The strength of our breeding program comes from the heritage of genetic giants:

*Bask++, Huckleberry Bey+,  Monogramm, Bey Shah+, *Nabor, Padrons Psyche, Sanadik El Shaklan, and Comet...

...comprise the cornerstone of that program. Our stallions offer the best to the discriminating breeder, with bloodlines that dominate today's show ring and  market success worldwide.

Robin and legendary Bey Shah+

Our  involvement in Arabians is  a love affair that began over 30 years ago, -our committment still remains with Polish bloodlines as our base, recognizing the Polish programs as  Masters in Arabian Breeding.  Robin's first Arabian, Shah Prince, a Polish/Crabbet cross colt was purchased when the colt was 9 months of age in 1975 from long time Arabian breeders Ralph and Helen Colvin.  After seeing their fine mare, Countess Ferzeyna at a show, Robin decided that Arabians was where she wanted to be.  Shah passed on in 2005, at age 32, spending everyday of his life with Robin.  He competed in Hunt, Western Competitve Trail and was Robin's best friend and started the love for Arabians that would grow into Far Niente' Farms. Our first mare, Homestead LeBaska, by LeBask+ started our love of the *Bask++ influence and was  the basis for our program.  Our first Stallion, Homestead Werborr, a direct son of *Werbor+ by *Nabor and an English Pleasure Champion.  We have retained six of his daughters as broodmares.  H Werbor is found in the pedigrees of many Champions, including JDM Bodacious Bey, a National Champion in EP whos dam is out of an H Werborr daughter. An incredible stallion, his dam was a direct daughter of Pelkinie of the Pelkinie Stud in Poland. He took Robin to many English Pleasure wins, after being owned by Joe and Jeanette Henry of Homestead Farms, and campanigned by Joe in English Pleasure and Driving.

Far Niente' Farms horses are given the opportunity to "be" horses. Kept mostly in a herd environment when turned out, the horses can also see one another over stall partitians and are able to socialize, thereby creating and maintaining good minds and horses that enjoy life and people.

Robin is the original founder of The Arabian Horse Club of Greater Toledo and three of the five shows the club used to do as well as it's Futurity. She also writes for the national publication, "Arabian Experts", with several articles published in each issue. More recently, she and good friend, fellow Arabian Horse owner/breeder Tiina Burkhart have founded the "Great Lakes Arabian Horse Association", a new club for Arabian owners and admirers which focuses on a new large Charity Horse Show beginning in 2008 and on getting new Arabian owners into the breed and mentoring those people. The club also focuses on programs for kids and kids without horses. Please visit www.GLAHAonline.org.

Together, Tiina and Robin also formed the "Midwest Equine Expo Alliance" for the promotion of an Expo Center and Equine Show Grounds at the location of the former "Mudhens" Sadium and Lucas County Recreation Center in Ohio. Please keep checking www.MidwestEqineExpoAlliance.org for more details. Web site on line soon.

We offer an extra incentive to mare owners...the first collection and shipment is included in our stallion's regular  service fees (sans specials).   We believe that both of our stallions are making a significant contribution to our breed, and invite you to take part in our special program. With direct get of their sires at a premium, and with the domination of the market by just a few stallions of similar bloodlines, these two stallions offer you an alternative - the opportunity to add the most coveted bloodlines for performance and halter at a fraction of the fees for stallions of this caliber. Our farm also breeds out to great stallions. MHR Nobility,  Monaco, Desert Heat VF,  *Emanor, and up coming new stallion Freedomsglassheart (Om El Amani x Glass Heart by Padrons Psyche). Our goal is to achieve the beautiful athlete capable of competing in both halter and performance and also be an asset to a significant breeding program.

Our facility currently has 31 stalls, indoor arena, foaling and stallion stalls.     FNF plans a renovation which includes heating the barn, sutomatic waterers, and addition of another indoor arena, enlarging stalls and additonal stallion and foaling stalls, lab and breeding area utilizing AI for our stallions along with a few select outside stallions. Call us for information on standing your stallion at FNF or services for your  broodmare. Broodmare and Foaling services available.

Through our commitment, experience, and expertise we hope that Far Niente Farms Arabian Horses has and will continue to establish a  relationship with our clients that will last a lifetime!
